Botulinum toxin treatment can soften expression lines caused by repeated movement of the facial muscles, creating a fresher and more rested appearance.

CONSULTATION AND TREATMENT DURING THE SAME APPOINTMENT
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine and must be prescribed following an appropriate consultation and assessment.
As a dentist I can assess and prescribe your treatment. I am also legally able to hold appropriate stock of botulinum toxin, meaning that, where treatment is suitable, consultation and treatment can usually take place during the same appointment.
I use UK-authorised botulinum toxin obtained through regulated supply channels, directly from the manufacturer or through authorised and manufacturer-approved pharmacies.
There is no need for a separate prescribing appointment or a return visit before treatment.
How anti-wrinkle treatment works
Expression lines develop over time as the muscles beneath the skin repeatedly contract when we frown, smile or raise our eyebrows.
Botulinum toxin works by temporarily reducing the activity of carefully selected muscles. As these muscles relax, the overlying skin can become smoother and expression lines less noticeable.
Treatment is tailored to your individual pattern of facial movement.
Results develop gradually over the days following treatment, with the full effect usually visible at around two weeks.

There is no single pattern of botulinum toxin treatment that suits every face.
Before treatment, I assess your facial anatomy and the way your muscles move at rest and during expression. The position, strength and balance of these muscles varies considerably from person to person, so treatment is individually planned rather than using a standard set of injection points.
The dose can also be adjusted according to the result you would like. Some patients prefer maximum softening of their lines, while others want to retain more movement and expression.
My aim is to tailor treatment to your individual face and desired outcome- creating a refreshed, balanced result rather than an obviously treated appearance.
