You might feel a brief pinch or mild pressure during the injections, and many patients experience a slight tingling or numbness due to the anesthetic. If you need a more profound anaesthetic for the procedure I can administer local anaesthetic in a similar manner to dental anaesthetic.

I recommend avoiding alcohol, blood-thinning medications, or supplements for a few days before your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling. If possible you should come to your appointment with a clean face.

Additionally, if you are deemed high risk for a post-procedure herpetic outbreak you might need to take antiviral medication to reduce the risk of this occurring. Please let me know if you suffer from cold sores frequently.

• Strenuous exercise or activities that may increase blood flow to the lips for at least 24 hours

• Excessive sun or heat exposure Additionally, you may be advised to avoid certain skincare products and not to undergo other facial treatments for a short period. Following these guidelines helps minimize bruising and swelling while ensuring optimal results.

You’ll notice an immediate improvement in your lip volume and contour right after treatment. However, some swelling is normal and may temporarily exaggerate the initial effect. Typically, the swelling will subside within a few days. Full product integration takes up to 4 weeks before revealing your final, natural-looking results.

Yes, most patients can return to their normal activities right away. However, you should avoid strenuous exercise and activities for at least 24 hours.
